Reflection
Factory Explorers was one of the most ambitious projects I’ve worked on, blending AI, computer vision, and 3D visualization to reimagine the factory experience. Leading the design alongside engineers and PMs taught me how to orchestrate multidisciplinary collaboration and translate emerging technologies into a clear, human-centered narrative. I learned how to design for real-world environments, where users wear gloves, deal with machine noise, and rely on efficiency and clarity to make critical decisions.
If I could revisit the project, I would spend more time on early usability testing directly on the factory floor to better simulate environmental conditions and gather feedback sooner. I would also push for a stronger feedback loop between operators and supervisors to validate how data insights translate into real production improvements. This project taught me the importance of designing not just for usability, but for trust, situational awareness, and the balance between automation and human judgment—lessons I continue to carry into every complex system I design today.
